Hey peoples. In a week, Hoss and I will be joining back up with the Shout It Loud tour in Ohio. I, for one, cannot wait. Hoss is excited too. So much so, that when you ask him about it, his eyes bug out. I don’t think it will be as awesome as our first time out, but it’ll be fun. Here’s some of the things I remember about that first week in July…
-driving 12 hours to Kansas City and listening to nothing but Less Than Jake (per Hoss)
-seeing a candle the size of a house!
-almost running out of gas in Indiana with no exits to be seen at two in the morning
-the dilapidated power lines of Illinois
-Summerfest in Milwaukee blowing our minds
-our first Sonic experience
-a Kyle picking us out in a crowd in K.C.
-meeting a Kyle on the bus to Summerfest
-seeing Kyle and everyone else we know at the Royal Oak show
-being so inebriated at Royal Oak that I didn’t even realize I was getting directions to the local IHOP from Jay of the Sucide Machines
-having my friend tell me she heard Chris having sex on the bus when she was hanging out in the back lounge
-don’t shake the babies
-driving with The Rick to Grand Rapids
-sneaking dollar store silly string into the G.R. show and almost getting kicked out for it
-eating pizza we bought out of the back of a truck
-attending the “Taste Of Buffalo” while in Buffalo
-nicknaming someone Kyle at the Buffalo show
-screaming for “Scott Farcas Takes it on the Chin” at every show and them only playing it at Summerfest (dude, I even made a sign for the G.R. show)
-both of us losing our voices and not regaining them until a full week after
-both of us getting sick
-Hoss refusing to stop for any antiquing
-every hotel from Buffalo to Cleveland being booked and us having to drive straight home
-BGSYOU MOTHERFUCKER!
