What's up Dicky? I figured I'd give you guys a little bit of an update on what's going on around here.

Last Friday there was a 21deadmonkeys benefit show out in the middle of nowhere (aka Ida, MI). It was a great time and thanks to everybody that came out. Thanks to the Argonauts, Matt Wixson, Pseudo Strike and Texas Pete and the Revolutions for playing. Huge bear hugs and sloppy kisses to Derek of Texas Pete for setting it up and Matt Wixson for raffling off his swag. You guys are amazing.

So where does that leave us for Ska Weekend? Well, thanks to that show I can now rest easier. I just mailed the check to Ben yesterday and we're all set. Thanks to everybody for being supportive and donating and whatnot. We'll try not to make such stupid decisions in the future.

If you're going to Ska Weekend with us, please let us know as soon as possible. I think I invited damn near everybody in the Michigan ska scene to hitch a ride with us. So yeah, if you're riding with the 21dm crew, we need to know as soon as possible cuz we're booking our rooms and what not.

If you're going to Ska Weekend and not riding with us, you should still hang out with us. We're staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel right downtown. Chris out of New Jersey set up a pretty sweet deal with the hotel.

The hotel deal is as follows:
You can get both Friday and Saturday nights, or just one of em. The rate is $85 per night, it comes to $198 with all the taxes and BS fees that hotels charge (Room tax, state tax, ass rape tax, etc) for the weekend.

SO, the organizer of your group will have to call them up, and book a room.

When you call, say you are with "Ska Weekend 2006" and that you'd like 2 double beds. (if you ask for a single king bed you pay more)

The hotel also says you can have 4 people max per room. (READ: you might be able to sneak one more in, but i cant promise that)

You then ask to be put with the other ska weekend rooms. (The hotel has promised me they will do their best to put us ALL on the same floor)

You can leave the room deposit on any credit card.

I stayed there last year, and it looks like a 4 star hotel, they have a bar and restaurant in the hotel, and it is the ONLY hotel in walking distance (maybe 5 mins) to ska weekend. They even have a indoor pool and gym. lol. because i know you all cant wait to get to TN to lift weights Smile

Man, what else is happening? I don't know, I'm still pretty tired from last night. Yeah, I went up to London, Ontario for the Frostbite tour with Mysterious Matt Wixson and his brother. I got to bed at like 4:30 this morning. Good times. And this Saturday is Against All Authority. Sweet.

One last thing, today is my birthday. Feel free to send me some mix cds and chocolate milk. Really, somebody should send me some Canadian ska. Hook me up with some One Night Band, Kiltlifters, Phat Bastard, Skaface, etc. You know, normally the week of my birthday we do fan appreciation week. We really fucked up this year, didn't we? I guess fan appreciation week will be pushed back to sometime in April. Get your pencils ready!
