Hey kids, sorry about not updating last week. It's been a pretty crazy time for me. Between moving and a bunch of doctor's appointments... well, I haven't had much time for anything. So as soon as I'm settled in and my new meds kick in, I'll try to make it up to everyone who got let down. Anyways, the above comic is based on a true story. This one time I went to see Flogging Molly up in Ventura. Well, two weeks before, the Dropkick Murphys played the same venue. I would have gone to that show too, but it was sold out. I guess everyone else made it to the DKM show, cuz they were all sporting new DKM shirts from it. I was like one of five people who didn't get the memo that it was "show your DKM love day." It was pretty humorous. And to end on a sad note, Boogie Records closed its doors on February 29th. For those of you who've never been to Toledo, Boogie was this cool little indie music store. They were all about supporting the scene. They sold tickets to local shows, would post flyers, and sometimes bands would even play there. It's sad to see it go. I think that was the last independent record store within driving distance of me. There's a lesson in all this... buy indie. One more thing and then I'm done. 21deadmonkeys is working on it's first cd release. If you're in a band and would like to be a part of it, email info@21deadmonkeys.com for all the info.
