For those about to rock we salute you! And for those not about to rock, well you should be rocking. Welcome to Metal Month here at 21deadmonkeys.com, where we are now "making metal a four letter word." First order of business this month: 21deadmonkeys TOTALLY HOSSOME CONTEST. A few of you have already sent in some fine submissions, and I encourage thsoe same three people to send in more entries, cause the more you send in the better your chances of winning (even if there is only like three of you). Remember these few guidelines and you are assured a much better chance of success: 1. Impress me. That's right kids, you are here to impress HOSS, not Boston, or Ducky, or even the Baron, but me. So any forms of suck-uppery that you use will be totally accepted and appreciated. Yeah that's my guidelines right there. Yup there's only one, but it's the only one that matters. Ok so anyway since this is Metal Month you may notice a few changes to the site. The banner for one, the random lightning bolts in the comics (Boston feels these make the comic more metal. Yeah I don't know either.), and even a few more surprises down the road. Oh and as for today's comic, yeah Static-X used to be good, then the little ankle biter Asian guy left, and Tripp from Dope replaced him, it's all been downhill from there. That bastard is turning what was once a totally bitchin evil disco band into a pile of poop called Dope mach 2. All right I'm outta here, so rock on and keep flashing those metal signs in the air at concerts. HOSS |

Hey guys. So we've finally gone metal and Hoss is in control. That's just how it goes. Speaking of Big D and the Kids Table, I went and saw 'em on Friday. I've been waiting a good long time to see 'em headline a show around here. They don't seem to come around these parts much. It was a fun show and hopefully I'll get it together and write a review for it. Or if any of you were there and you want to write a review for it and I'll just post yours. Anyways, I was just gonna mention this cool little story. I went and saw a matinee of The Incredibles on Friday. I think it's the best movie I've seen in quite awhile, definitely recommended. If you don't want to go see it by yourself, call me up and we'll go together because I want to see it again. Anyways, so after that got done, Hoss and the Baron were supposed to go see Big D with me but they bailed to go hang out in Southgate. This is becoming a pattern. So by the time I got home and got ready to go to the show it was already seven which is when the show started and I debated going by myself or even going at all. Well, I ended up going but first I stopped by my weekend job (Pepperidge Farm) and bought a bag full of cookies and crackers. I always here about how poor Big D is and such, so I thought this would be a nice thing to do. At work, my boss wanted to talk to me about something, but I explained I was already late for something and had to go. Made it to the show about eight I think. Walked over to the merch stand and saw a guy writing out a setlist and asked if he was in Big D. It was the lead singer Dave. I introduced myself and explained how I had always heard that Big D was the poorest band in ska and handed over the bag of food. He was so excited about it and couldn't even believe it. That right there gave me one of the best feelings. I like it when I can do something nice for people. Anyways, Dave gave me the new cd and some stickers and stuff to show his appreciation which I didn't really expect because I had brought money to buy stuff anyways. So that was really cool on his part. Plus I told him that if he needed anything else, I was going to be at the Detroit show with the Voodoo Glow Skulls in couple weeks and that he could email me and I'd hook him up. I gave him a 21deadmonkeys sticker. I doubt he'll come to this site or email me asking for more cookies, but it'd be cool if he did. He did mention that they're playing Cleveland on his birthday and it's not that far of a drive. I might go. But back to the story... so the show was great and everything was fun. YAY! Then the next day I had to go to work at Pepperidge Farm and my boss wants to talk to me (because she didn't get to the night before). Basically she gave me part of some safety reward that I'm not really supposed to get but she gave it to me anyways kind of thing. So basically I made back what I spent the night before. Everything comes back around kids. It's like karma. off the train, |
