they've got trees, and mooses, and sled dogs

Hey kids, how's it going? For the record, I'm not a Kerry supporter, I'm a Bush hater. I must say I'm disappointed with how the election turned out but it's already in the past. Right now, I'm just bracing for whatever lays ahead. I don't really have anything political to say. If you want to talk politics, I can give you Serena MS or the Baron's emails and you can fight with them.

I do hope that everyone who was registered did vote. I have an interesting story about that. See, Monday night I worked from 4-9pm at Sears. Then I went and worked 10pm-8am at Knights Inn. Then I went back to Sears and worked 9am-3pm. So even after being up over 24 hours straight, I still went to vote after I got off work. I filled out my little application and went to the table where they look you up in that big book of registered voters and... Lo and behold, I was not listed!! My dad, mom, and Hoss were all there, but where was I? Now, this is probably my fault, but I'll tell you how it all went down. Back in September I was going to go register to vote at the township hall because I felt that that was the most direct and best way to go about it. Before I got a chance to go there, I went to a Mustard Plug show. At the show, they had a table set up where you could register to vote. I was a little iffy about it because you never know how well organized these things really are but Sallad was working there and he talked me into it. When I was done filling out the sheet, they said I was all set and just to make sure that I knew where to go to vote when election day came. Well, I went there and was not registered. The people working even called a voter hotline to see if there was a mistake. They have no record of me being registered in the state of Michigan. What the fuck? So yeah, that's how my voting experience went. Then to top it all off, I had to be back at Knights Inn at 10pm for the midnight shift. I sat there and flipped between Fox, CNN, and the Daily Show until I was sick to my stomach. When my boss called to check in, I told her that I was sick and left work. I think I was more sick from lack of sleep than the election, but whatever.

Also, if you're not sick of people telling you to vote... We've dropped a bunch over at buzzComix. Maybe you could go vote for us?

Oh yeah, we're running a contest for the month of November. Hopefully you saw that on the front page. I figure there are maybe thirty people who come here regularly. Out of those, maybe twenty to twenty five will actually enter. Of those, there will be six winners. I'd say the odds are pretty good if you enter. As you read this, we're getting t-shirts, hats, pins and other crap printed up for the winners. So, yeah, you should enter.

Okay, I guess that's it for me. I think Hoss will be taking over for a little bit. I'll miss you.
