Token Lounge Show
Last Saturday we headed out to the Token Lounge. There were a few bands playing and some of the kids wanted to dance. Up in Westfield we arrived fashionably late. Walking in the door just as
Mysterious Matt Wixsom
was playing. He is from another band I think but he was doing a solo accoustic set that night for some reason. With his nerves of steel he defied the audience by playing a cover heavy set. Shocked and amazed by his audacity the crowed rallied in a frenzy. Applause rang out through the packed amplitheater. I myself even joined in. I played the wooden table during his cover of Bad Religion'a Sorrow. It was truly a spectacle and foreshame to all those who missed it. The next band was a band with no name. From out of nowhere they came to play music I can't remember. I am sure they were a ska band though. After them was a band named Psuedo Strike. They also played ska music. I think that they had at least one song I enjoyed. Possibly even two. Let us hope. The final band that played was the Hot 'N Sweatties. No one is quite sure how to spell their name, I think the ancient Incans spelled it correctly once, but their tomes of knowledge are long forgotten. They also played an excellent set. Much dancing was had by ... the kids that were standing. I think they performed well and played a few songs I was into. I don't care much for the name though, but if they like it that's what counts. Over all it was a fun outing filled with men of iron, ska, and math. I don't know why Math was ther, but he was. Check out the Token Lounge if you live near Westfield, it will be a small show that you can dance to. Or a metal show. I think the metal heads show up later and punch each other.
